Working with a large earthworks and demolition contractor, working within their civils team. You will be estmating drainage projects for new build housing sites.

As a Civils Estimator / Senior Estimator you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, tender submissions and supporting the successful delivery of high-value civil engineering and construction projects.

Your duties as the Civils Estimator include:

• Preparing Bills of Quantities: Take off measurements and extract details from specifications

• Preparing Cost Estimates: Use first principles pricing methods and financial analysis

• Tender Programmes: Develop detailed tender programmes to support bids

• Adjudication Meetings: Attend with the Commercial Director before bid submission

• Quotation Letters: Draft accurate letters detailing tender offers

• Supply Chain Management: Evaluate and manage supplier enquiries for quotations

• Value Engineering: Provide input into project risk and value engineering initiatives

• Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, consultants and designers

• Project Support: Assist project delivery teams with accounts and variations

• Meetings Attendance: Represent Palmer Construction at internal, commercial and client meetings, including site visits
